Lights on Afterschool will be held Thursday, October 24th, 2019. This is an opportunity to highlight the great work being done in afterschool programs by opening their afterschool doors to the community!

APOST is able to support all Allegheny County Lights On events with a reimbursement type stipend of up to $300.00 to cover food and/or program materials. APOST will be providing Lights On Afterschool t-shirts for all youth participant and support for an optional joint activity to occur across sites – details on this activity will be available soon.

By signing up, host sites agree to:

• Invite parents and elected officials/funders into program on Thursday, October 24th, 2019.
• Do something special for the students (even if it is mostly a regular afterschool day)
• Be listed as an official Lights On Afterschool event in communications materials released by APOST about Lights On.

Organizations who would like to participate should fill out the APOST interest form. Once the interest form is submitted, an APOST associate will be in touch to further discuss the details.
