As more and more industries embrace immersive platforms (AR/VR/XR) we are seeing an incredible amount of demand for professionals who are natives to these technologies. The knowledge and skills to work with immersive media support learners to work as professionals in some of the world’s most exciting fields, including entertainment, healthcare, game design, architecture, training and education, marketing, and more.
At this meetup, we’re gathering our region’s educators working in and with immersive technologies. We’ll hear from Professor Doug North Cook to learn about Chatham’s B.A. in Immersive Media (IMM), an interdisciplinary program that equips students with knowledge of design thinking, computer programming, interactive game design technology, creative methods, and cutting-edge hardware to create immersive experiences for a variety of applications and industries. We’ll also be making space for the expertise in the room (that’s you!) to learn more about the people, programs, and organizations in our region looking at immersive technologies in learning spaces.
As always, this is free, open gathering designed to forge and develop relationships between the educators, innovators, and change agents that make up the Remake Learning Network. Join us to discuss your craft, address issues, share opportunities, and connect to resources. Learn more at remakelearning.org/meetups.
