What happens when one of the country’s leading AV & Lighting companies buys a church and realizes they could create an amazing youth program for young techs? 25Carrick! Please join us for a sneak peak at this up-and-coming program and network with the other incredible youth media program providers in our region. This one is a ‘not-to-be-missed’ meetup!
About the program
This 2 week summer program will serve as a intro/primer for teens and young adults looking to work in the event technology industry. Each day will include a basics in lighting, live sound, event design, marketing, by taking a hands on behind the scenes look at an event production facility. The program will break down into theory, technical, and administrative sessions geared towards exploration in the Event Technology Field (for teens ages 15-21).
This program will feature guest lecturers who work in cultural institutions around the region including sound technicians, lighting grips, broadcast technicians, curators, performers, and administrative staff.
Who is the program for?
It is our goal to create a pipeline for technicians in the entertainment technology field by providing technical training and career exploration to interested individuals.
No experience required and the program is free. Applicants must be willing to commit to attending both weeks of the program. Lunch will be provided.
