Teaching artists and creative learning educators are invited to participate in a survey about their work as an educator in creative learning programs. The purpose of this research study is to learn more about creative learning opportunities for youth in our region.

This project is a partnership of researchers from the University of Pittsburgh and The Heinz Endowments. Results from this study will help researchers understand and inform how best to support creative learning programs and organizations in the region.

The survey should take about 20-30 minutes and includes questions related to:

  • Participant’s experiences as an educator
  • Participant’s thoughts about creative learning programs and opportunities

There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project, nor are there any direct benefits to the participant.

If the survey is not completed in one sitting, participants can come back and finish. If using the same computer (or mobile device) and the same browser, the survey will remember where you left off.

Study participants will be entered into a raffle to win an iPad! After completing the survey, participants will be directed to a separate website to complete the necessary information to be included in the raffle.

For questions or more information, contact the Principal Investigator, Tom Akiva (tomakiva@pitt.edu), or Project Coordinator, Esohe Osai (ero19@pitt.edu).

This survey is being conducted by researchers at the University of Pittsburgh. Participation in this study is voluntary. A decision not to participate will not affect your employment with your program or your relationship with the University of Pittsburgh or The Heinz Endowments. Please note that your responses will be kept confidential and will not be tied to your name in any way.
