As computers become more sophisticated and data storage becomes increasingly important, security threats that could compromise these systems also become more serious. Efforts to counteract these threats are essential to protecting personal information, securing data, and mitigating malicious physical and digital damage. Exploring cybersecurity challenges can be an excellent way for students to learn about how computers work and process information and how that knowledge can be leveraged to create more secure systems.

The Cyber Security Workshop is a multi-day workshop that will teach teachers the basics of electronics and computer hardware and prepare them to teach principles of physical and digital cybersecurity, culminating with a challenge to attack and defend computer systems. All teachers are welcome, but content will be most applicable for Computer Science, Tech Ed, Physics, and Robotics teachers.
