At the South Fayette School District STEAM Innovation Summer Institute: Creating a Computer Science Pathway for All, take a deep dive into exploring and sharing innovative practices with teachers from the region and beyond! Choose sessions from several pathways: computational thinking, CS/STEAM innovation, visible thinking, and leadership.

The Institute is designed to assist districts in transforming education through innovation and to provide experiences for teachers that will become a springboard to a greater vision. The expectation for participating in the Institute is that participants must implement what they have learned in their classrooms or in after-school programs during the upcoming school year.

Often, districts send teams of teachers from K-12 to create a vertical alignment and computer science pathway for their districts. Teachers will have access to lesson plans at each grade level which focus on student agency, computational thinking, competencies and practices, assessments, and student artifacts.

Most importantly, this is designed to be fun! Participants will be surrounded by passionate, innovative educators eager to share and support one another.
