Leadership Academy is an intensive, year-long professional learning opportunity for educators from schools and arts organizations devoted to becoming leaders in their schools and communities. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 19.

This unique professional learning opportunity was designed by and for arts educators. The experience begins with a dynamic five-day summer intensive. In-person and online sessions help participants keep their momentum into the school year and beyond.

Participants learn valuable teaching skills and acquire the confidence needed to increase the visibility and credibility of arts programs in their schools, districts, or organizations. Additionally, they develop their own artistic skills, collaborate, and share effective practices with other educators from across the region.

  • Interact with arts and culture professionals and teaching colleagues from across the region.
  • Bring a leadership initiative to life in your district or organization with one-on-one support from Arts Education Collaborative staff.
  • Join an alumni network of over 150 teachers and arts and culture professionals.
  • Earn up to 90 Act 48 credit hours or credits toward Level II certification.

The summer intensive will run from July 22–26 and will take place at TransformED in Homestead and Community Forge in Wilkinsburg. School year sessions will follow on September 25, November 21, March 10, and June 17.
