This is the second meetup for those interested in the intersection of Pittsburgh AI x Humanities. There will be free food in addition to networking and structured conversation. At this meetup we will:

  • Provide context from the design sessions back in January and February (aka explain WHY are we doing this)
  • Share findings, feelings, and information from World Summit AI: Americas
  • Learn from Beatrix Dias, Project Director at CMU CREATE Lab on their collaboration with the Western PA Writing Project, “Ethics & AI Study Group
  • And learn more about new meetup formats we are planning to break out of the regular large group/nebulous conversation stage of this series (movie screenings? dinners? structured workshops? Check, check, and check!)

We warmly welcome and encourage you to share this opportunity with educators, technologists and producers, artists, activists, government leaders, and the AI curious (we operate in an “we are all learners” environment!).

The Pittsburgh AI x Humanities series is a collaboration with Remake Learning.

Remake Learning is a network that ignites engaging, relevant, and equitable learning practices in support of young people navigating rapid social and technological change.

As always, this is free, open gathering designed to forge and develop relationships between the educators, innovators, and change agents that make up the Remake Learning Network (and Pittsburgh AI!). Join us to discuss your craft, address issues, share opportunities, and connect to resources. Learn more at remakelearning.org/meetups

Food will be provided with a vegetarian option. Please help reduce food waste by letting us know if you need to cancel your registration. The cut-off date for special food request is April 12. Email Ani (address below) with requests.

Not quite sure what to expect? We’re here to help! Email Ani (ani (at) remakelearning (dot) org) with any questions or concerns.
