This opportunity is part of the Center for Creativity’s winter 2019 transformED professional development series.

In this workshop, participants will learn to design, build, and program their own robot using the new Hummingbird Bit Robotics Kit and everyday art supplies. This 6-hour introductory session is designed for any teacher interested in bringing robotics, programming, and design into their classrooms. BirdBrain Technologies will also provide helpful tips on how to integrate robotics into any subject area!

Kelsey Derringer, the Professional Development Coordinator for BirdBrain Technologies, will lead this workshop. She is an experienced classroom teacher, working with students for over 15 years as an English teacher, after-school teacher and administrator, and STEM educator. Kelsey has done STEM workshops with hundreds of teachers, and specializes in creating hands-on STEM learning experiences for educators that are both practical and fun!

Participants will need to bring a laptop with a USB port.
