Robomatter Incorporated provides high-quality, cost-effective K-12 STEM education solutions to classrooms around the world, helping ensure students are ready to compete in a global, emerging economy.
We are looking for a STEM Curriculum Designers to join our team. We are seeking contractor-based work at approximately 15 hours per week and also a candidate for full-time employment. Working closely with multiple teams across the organization, these individuals will help with the design, evaluation, and implementation of STEM curriculum.
Primary Functions
Curriculum Development
- Participate in the development and evaluation of new curriculum and instructional materials for K-12 STEM programs
- Develop curricula goals and outlines for new K-12 STEM curriculum, as well as curriculum updates and enhancements
- Make data-driven recommendations and decisions on how improve curricula and materials
- Actively pursue continued opportunities to learn best practices in curriculum writing through research, professional development, and other learning engagements
- Provide in-class support and coaching to teachers using designated curricula, including coaching on teacher strategies, assistance in leading classroom activities and lessons, and connecting to outside speakers and resources
- Incorporate the latest research in learning science into curriculum materials
- Respond to customer inquiries to help resolve problems, provide relevant information, or involve relevant resources
- Aggressively pursue opportunities to learn more about our customers
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and evidence of at least three (3) years of exemplary K-12 classroom teaching experience
- A proven track record of:

- Building professional relationships
- Solving complex problems
- Collaborating with diverse teams
Core Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of current techniques and procedures for instruction, curriculum design, and curriculum development
- Exceptional computer and technology skills, including a demonstrated ability to integrate multiple facets of technology to enhance learning and instruction
- Experience leading and supervising the planning, development and establishment of new, modified and/or improved educational and/or professional development programs
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret data to drive decisions regarding instructional programs, teaching effectiveness, policies, and procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize work, and manage competing deadlines
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the areas of research, content development, presentations, and community relations
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, including the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to develop, monitor, and complete long-term goals and objectives
- Strong working knowledge of current literature, trends, and developments in K-12 STEM education
Preferred Qualifications
- At least three (3) years of exemplary K-12 classroom teaching experience in a STEM discipline
- Familiarity and experience with the VEX robotics platforms
- Familiarity and experience with programming languages, including Modkit, ROBOTC, or other programming languages
