The One Northside Parent Success Network is hosting its 2nd Annual Mini-Conference on Wednesday, October 17th from 1-5pm at the Carnegie Science Center. One Northside is Buhl’s 20-year commitment to investments on the Northside within its 5 pillars (Education, Employment, Place, Health and Safety). For over the past five years, Buhl has been working with residents to guide its grant making agenda. One initiative residents identified as a priority is access to sustainable wage jobs.

The One Northside Parent Success Network is, again, partnering with the Carnegie Science Center, PA Careerlink, Pittsburgh King’s Parent Community Volunteer Network, CCAC, A+ Schools, and Allegheny Partners for Out-of-School Time (APOST) to bring you the mini-conference and job fair.

Session topics include:

Earning a GED

• Gainful employment with a criminal record
• Financial literacy and smart money habits for families
• Strategies for coping with trauma
• Managing stress and time management in your personal and professional life
• How to be workforce ready
