Hockey Scholar is an online, digital learning resource — available at no cost — that uses the exciting game of hockey as a learning vehicle to help students understand the real world applications of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) principles and careers.

The Pittsburgh Penguins would love to see you at our Hockey Scholar Professional Development at the PPG Paints Arena on Saturday, September 22nd!

Educators from across the region will learn how the program fits into their curriculum, ways to implement, and walk away with lesson plans and community engagement ideas. Immediately after, we will cheer on the Penguins in our box seats! All we ask is that you pilot one lesson in your classroom this year.

We are looking for math and science teachers just like you to bring abstract STEM concepts to life! Due to the high volume of registrants, we will be implementing a lottery system and teachers will be notified two weeks prior to the training if they have been selected to attend.
