The Allegheny Intermediate Unit is currently seeking a Computer Science Coordinator for its Teaching and Learning Division. The Computer Science Coordinator implements the goals and promotes initiatives established by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) in support of Computer Science4All (CS4All). The CS Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Instructional Innovation and other Teaching and Learning staff to promote computational thinking and provide professional development in prek-12 educational entities. Position requires the ability to travel across western Pennsylvania.

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in education, computer science or related STEM field required, advanced degree preferred. Job related experience in computer science including proficiency in programming and knowledge of K-12 CS curricula required; must be willing to engage in additional professional learning as prescribed by PDE and the AIU. Experience in design and delivery of professional development for school personnel and knowledge of adult learning is also required.
