Fab Lab Carnegie Science Center and Mentoring Pittsburgh are teaming up to expand the Mentors in the Making Program at Fab Lab. Partnering with US2020, the coalition is able to hire two year-long VISTAs to help grow and support this exciting program for underserved youth in Pittsburgh.
Development VISTA:
Help expand opportunities for students within and beyond Pittsburgh! Join the team at the Carnegie Science Center’s Center for STEM Education and Career Development as an AmeriCorps*VISTA. During your year of service, work to expand the and scale the Mentors in Making program by developing resources (written and online) for program design, implementation and growth! Help us bring this program nationwide while giving back to the community of Pittsburgh.

Outreach VISTA:
Over 80% of jobs in the next decade will require math and science skills. Help expand opportunities for students in Pittsburgh to access high quality educational opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics! As an Outreach VISTA with the Carnegie Science Center, you will build partnerships with schools and nonprofits to scale the Mentors in the Making program and provide access to opportunities for students in our community!
