Join the conversation and learn how you can support developmentally appropriate and play-based learning experiences for our youngest students this school year!
As the 2018-2019 school year approaches, Trying Together is hosting an online webinar Tuesday, August 21, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. to highlight research and best practices for how young children develop and learn.
Discussion will include strategies for how policymakers, educators, and families can support developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) and play in early childhood education.
Panelists will include the following DAP and play experts:
- Dr. Catherine LoBaugh, Assistant Executive Director for Early Childhood, Family, and Community Services, Allegheny Intermediate Unit
- Dr. Scott Miller, Principal of Avonworth Primary Center, @DrMillerASD on Twitter
- Ronna Currie, Woodland Hills School Board Member and Parent
This webinar is being scheduled in response to a white paper entitled, “Advance Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP): How Young Children Learn” released by Trying Together earlier this year.
