Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Previous work experience in education or public sector is also preferred.

Program Assistant must demonstrate prior successful experience with independently managing projects and/or providing technical and administrative support in the execution of project deliverables, managing calendars, organizing agendas and meetings, identifying and executing tasks at a high level on short timelines, and building relationships with key stakeholders.

Additional qualifications include computer proficiency, especially with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access; proven ability to interact with a diverse group of stakeholders who represent various interests at all levels; and excellent interpersonal and writing skills allowing for successful service to stakeholders.

Managerial, analytical, and organizational skills including a high attention to detail are also necessary in order to efficiently complete projects and resolve problems both independently and with other staff.

Program Assistant must be available and willing to work a non?traditional schedule, including occasional weekends and evenings as needed.

Essential Job Functions

Support key elements of the curriculum and programming needed to successfully implement all Pittsburgh Public Schools OST initiatives, including the Summer Dreamers Academy and After-School Programs.

Salary
Support Non-Exempt, Level 10 (starting at $42, 952)

This position is grant funded until September 30, 2018, with a likely possibility to extend for an additional two years following this date pending funding availability.
