School Retool is a professional development fellowship designed by the Stanford d.school and IDEO that helps principals and other school leaders redesign their school culture using small, scrappy experiments called “hacks.” Hacks may start small, but they’re built on research-based practices that lead to Deeper Learning, and can create the kind of big change you aspire to—namely, preparing your students for life in the real world.
The Allegheny Intermediate Unit is thrilled to collaborate with School Retool to bring this professional learning fellowship to Western Pennsylvania for a second year to support school leaders in redesigning school culture.
AIU is seeking leaders who want to change the status quo of education, are passionate about access to Deeper Learning for all students, and are willing and ready to try a new, immersive learning experience. In addition to secondary school principals, applications are welcome from superintendents, curriculum directors, special education directors, and other district-level administrators.
