The United States Fab Lab Network will be hosting its annual Symposium at the new West Houston Institute located on the Houston Community College Alief Campus, March 5-7, 2018.
The Focus of this Symposium will be around Educational Best Practices (K-12 & Post-Secondary), Entrepreneurship, and Fab Lab/Makerspace Start-up – Operations – Training. Those interested in delivering an approximately 1 hour session in one of these areas and how it relates to Fab Labs & Makerspaces to peers from around the U.S., are invited to complete the evaluation application prior to January 15th, 2018.
Programs that include actionable strategies, projects, or skill building will be given preference in selection. All presenters will be required to register for the Symposium, approved presenters will be given a $50 discount code to use when registering.
The Fab Lab Symposium will make presentation materials available to attendees, many sessions are videotaped and presented on the USFLN website for USFLN members to access, so by submitting a proposal, you agree that the Symposium can freely distribute and post presentation materials.
