Yet, much of the Remake Learning Network conversation has hovered in and around the City of Pittsburgh. We know that making for education is happening in deep and rich contexts just beyond our geographic comfort zone and cannot wait until September 18th for a gathering of makerspaces based in Greater Appalachia at West Liberty University.
Please join makers, educators from early childhood to higher ed, regional intermediaries, and fellow Remake Learning Network members for a conversation with new and established makerspaces throughout Southwestern PA and West Virginia. Attendees will have the opportunity to share resources and program details, take a tour of the CREATE Lab Satelite Network headquartered in WLU, and share in a discussion about facilitation of maker-based learning experiences led by the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh
Lunch will be provided, so please notify the Remake Learning Network Community Manager, Ani Martinez, with any dietary restrictions: ani (at) remakelearning (dot) org . You may also contact Ani with any other event-related requests or accessibility requirements.
This will be a special extended Meetup as many attendees will be traveling a greater than usual distance to attend. For those traveling from the City of Pittsburgh, please contact Ani if you would like to request limited travel assistance. Travel and parking information will be provided closer to the Meetup date.
Special thanks to Lou Karas at West Liberty University for hosting, and to the Children’s Museum for Co-Organizing!
The Remake Learning Network promotes the productive exchange of ideas and opportunities and welcomes the opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise. We are accepting of one another, as well as encouraging, welcoming, and inspiring!
