All summer long, students at the YMCA Lighthouse Project have been working on music videos and this Thursday they’ll be premiering them to the public! Join the Lighthouse at Hazelwood YMCA on Thursday, August 14th and check out two teen-produced songs and videos that touch on issues that affect kids’ lives every day.

“Raise the Wage” from the Homewood Youth Team engages in the current national debate about the minimum wage and advocating for a more equitable wage for workers in our communities, while the Hazelwood Youth Team’s “Time to Make a Change” explores the issue of bullying that affects many young people today.

Both groups will be on-hand to share their voice and vision on Thursday at the premier, with the event culminating in a talent show and a light dinner. Come out and enjoy an awesome Hive-funded project as it shows off the talent of our local youth!
