Painting with Natural Selection allows kids to participate in the process of evolution by manipulating the genetic information of animated cells.

Painting With Natural Selection from Carnegie Mellon’s STUDIO for Creative Inquiry is a multi-player experience in which kids and parents interact with a projecting of a simple organism and manipulate its environment to help (or hinder) its growth and evolution. The installation plays out different scenarios where a virtual organism has access to different reproductive strategies, allowing the user to study their role in evolution.
