A hands-on laboratory where inquisitive minds and science-enthusiasts can explore the life sciences!

The Citizen Science Lab is open to everyone—from middle and high school students, to parents and educators, to undergraduate and graduate students, to professionals and DIY scientists. We invite the citizens of Pittsburgh to observe, experiment and analyze through discovery-based learning and STEM education.

Recognizing the need to encourage STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education, Duquesne University and Urban Innovation 21 have come together to combine hands-on learning, community outreach and economic development in the Pittsburgh region, a leader in biomedical research and medical innovation.
