This summer, youth from across Pittsburgh will use the arts as a tool to create positive change within their communities. Youth will start by analyzing issues that are important in their lives. Next, they will work with a team of professional community artists to learn skills in music, art, drama, dance, and media. Finally, youth will put their newfound skills into action by creating artistic projects that will project their empowered voice and spark community change. It’s community change through art, all made by the teens whose lives are most affected.
This program is part of Pittsburgh City of Learning, an initiative of The Sprout Fund. Learn more at the launch event on June 10th.
