Yael Silk brings a wealth of research and evaluation expertise to the Kids+Creativity Network. She runs her own business, Silk Strategic Arts, which focuses on program evaluation, facilitation, professional development, student assessment, and strategic planning in the arts and education fields. Local clients include the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, CMU School of Music, the Pittsburgh Promise, and Gateway to the Arts. Yael also does project work for the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. National clients include the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities, Americans for the Arts, and the RAND Corporation.
Her relationship with The Sprout Fund and Spark began in 2012 when she led a workshop on program evaluation for Kids+Creativity network members. She also sits on the Spark Fund for Early Learning grant panel. Yael is constantly amazed by the Pittsburgh region’s resources for young people and is excited to participate in a network with people who are not only open to collaboration but believe that it makes the work we all do better.
Yael holds an Ed.M in Arts Education from Harvard University and a B.A. from Barnard College.
