Jordan Lippman is the Executive Director at ISA Learning, Inc. He received a bachelors of science from Union College in Schenectady, NY., then went on to earn a Masters and PhD in Cognitive Psychology with an emphasis in Statistics and Learning Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His advisors at UIC, Susan Goldman and Jim Pellegrino, have had a lasting impact on his work. After a brief time doing research and teaching at Carnegie Mellon University, he was awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh’s prestigious Learning Research and Development Center (LRDC). Jordan had the honor of working with Chris Schunn at LRDC on a project that was funded by the National Science Foundation. He was hired to design and evaluate educational programs that used peer-collaboration and computer-supported guidance to improve science reasoning. Since leaving academia, Jordan has started three EdTech companies including Project Playground, LLC., and NameGames, LLC. and he has consulted on a number of academic and business projects. Jordan is also a certified S.T.E.A.M. educator.
