I started my career as a teacher, tech integrationist, and all-around ed tech evangelist at the brand-new Asia Pacific International School in Seoul, South Korea. After two years in Korea, I completed an MSc in Scotland before moving to Fukuoka International School in Japan, where I taught English in the IB Diploma Programme.
After six years overseas, my wife and I moved back to Pittsburgh, PA in 2013. I joined Haiku Learning as a community manager in 2013 and moved into product management at the start of 2015. I’m especially passionate about building technology that makes best practices better. I believe that existing schools want to evolve towards next-generation learning practices and I believe that good technology can help them get there. Put differently, I tend to get more excited about reforming existing schools than I do about replacing them.
