Aimee is a teacher and administrator at passionate about making and creativity in the elementary classroom. At Kentucky Avenue School, she is responsible for creating their makered program, including the renovation of their art/makerspace and the KAS Makers after school program.

Ever since attending the original 100 Languages of Children exhibition on the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education in the early 90’s, Aimee has been dedicated to creativity in the elementary school classroom. This has evolved into a passion for incorporating the ideals of the maker movement into elementary education. You can find her in her second grade classroom or the new Steamroom at Kentucky Avenue School in Shadyside, where she connects early literacy and math skills with making through robotics, art, soft circuits and whatever she thinks will captivate her students’ imaginations.
