Ellen Cavanaugh

As an educator, Ellen works between robotics and theology, encouraging kids to grow and learn through play, game design and STEM principles.

Ellen straddles the worlds of robotics and theology; 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade Research Fellows and Virtual World students at the Baden Academy Charter School Media Lab and undergraduates at Duquesne University; small business ownership (Grow a Generation, LLC) and community advocacy (director of the Beaver County STEM Education Coalition). She is passionate about inspiring and giving tools to parents and K-16 kids to play with robotics, game design, all things STEM and develop 21st century skills of innovation, critical thinking, collaboration, emotional intelligence, resilience, leadership, and vision by engaging in passion based projects.
