Louis Cappa has been with PF/PCA since 2009 and serves with Filmmakers Youth Media as the Operations Coordinator. He has assumed many different positions at PF/PCA including Equipment Specialist, Teaching Assistant, and Film Projectionist.

Originally from the Philadelphia area, Louis moved in 2008 to attend the University of Pittsburgh where he majored in Film and Writing. Since graduating in 2012 he has worked as an independent media producer including videographer for both the Kelly Strayhorn Theater and the Pittsburgh Chapter of The Moth, and also as Line Producer for the locally-produced independent feature “Homemakers.”

Louis is a member of the Sprout Fund’s Remake Learning Digital Corps where he has taught youth at Assemble, Brothers and Sisters Emerging (BASE), and Boys and Girls Club of Shadyside. An advocate for media literacy, Louis firmly believes that we all must be able to understand, identify, and manipulate the content that pervades our everyday lives; he finds this especially important for youth who will one day have to pioneer our continually growing digital landscape.
