Propel ANDREW STREET is Propel School’s first high school, opening in 2008 and located in Munhall PA, across from the Carnegie Library of Homestead. The school serves students in grades 9-12. Propel ANDREW STREET is a new model of secondary education in Pittsburgh, tailored for serious, self-motivated students that are committed to taking a positive, active role in their education. The high school offers a small learning community averaging 50 students at each grade level, and full time, multi-age advisories. A focus on active student engagement through personal learning plans, project based learning and workforce development encourages growth and depth of a school community. Students are required to fulfill a number of graduation requirements that include 80 hours of community service, completing one dual enrollment or extended internship and writing an autobiography.
