Pittsburgh Allegheny K-5 is a magnet school with a focus on writing located in the heart of the redevelopment of the North Side. Pittsburgh Allegheny teachers create partnerships and work on collaborative projects with many North Shore institutions, such as the Children’s Museum, Mattress Factory, National Aviary, PNC Park, Heinz Field and Science Center.

Pittsburgh Allegheny students may reside in any area of the city with preference given to families on the North/Central Area and to Pittsburgh Allegheny siblings. Every student, parent and teacher signs the Pittsburgh Allegheny contract and students wear uniforms. Pittsburgh Allegheny K-5 provides a comprehensive curriculum emphasizing standards in reading, math, science, social studies, art, music and physical education.
