Join local educators and philanthropists Amil Cook and Tracey Reed Armant for an important look at the academic, cultural, and emotional significance of #HipHopEd.

This FREE and public event will share findings and experiences from this year’s #HipHopEd Conference. Join other local hip hop educators, out-of-school time providers, teachers, parents, and curious individuals for light fare and deep conversation.

Amil Cook, M.Ed., is a Hip-Hop and Millennial generation educator with ten plus years experience in various educational settings from public schools to juvenile treatment facilities. Amil is a founding and core member of the #HipHopEd community where he creates weekly promotional content and actively advocates innovative and urgent ways to traverse the digital divide. Amil has taught Career Readiness, Media Literacy, Technology and Hip-Hop studies.

Remake Learning Meetups are free, open gatherings designed to forge and develop relationships between the educators, innovators, and change agents that make up the Remake Learning Network. At Meetups, you can discuss your craft, address issues, share opportunities, and connect to resources.
