The Teaching Artist symposium is a hands-on professional development event designed specifically to meet the educational needs of teaching artists and arts educators. Participants leave with actionable solutions to real world challenges and innovative ideas and resources to expand both their artistic and teaching practice.
This year’s master classes focus on topics ranging from infographics for teaching artists to mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques. In addition to attending master classes, participants will have an opportunity to tour the Hewitt Collection of African- American art, which is currently on display at the August Wilson Center, and engage in arts-based workshops in response to their experience.
Breakfast and lunch are provided.
