This training & networking event provided by Discovery Education, in partnership with Hampton Township School District, will allow participants to learn how to maximize the potential of Discovery Education Streaming, beyond just using videos, for both teacher and student users. Participants will partake in collaborative sessions with regional colleagues to share ideas that support student-centered learning. Participants will also create a vision and actionable “Next Steps” for sharing what they have learned with others within their school district.
Who Should Attend?
This event is specifically designed for Curriculum, Instructional Technology, Supervisors of Content Areas, Library Media Specialists, Principals and district leaders
Event Participant Goals:
Participants will develop a deeper understanding of Discovery Education Streaming resources.
Participants will engage with interactive features of Discovery Education.
Participants will create digital artifacts to engage students in learning.
Participants will reflect upon instructional practice and strategies for integration of Discovery Education resources into lesson design.
Participants will collaborate with colleagues to develop lessons which promote student-centered learning.
8:30am: Registration & Light Breakfast
9:15am – 10:30am: Interactive Opening Discussion
10:30 – Noon: Deep Dive into DE Streaming
Noon – 12:45pm: Lunch
1:00pm – 2:30pm: Breakout Centers & Creating Digital Artifacts
