A hands-on workshop on the transformative power of joy.

Are you thriving? Are your students thriving? Are your colleagues thriving? How might we, as educators, create and cultivate joy within ourselves and the spaces in which we teach. Join Michelle King for a hands-on workshop that will answer how joy is the key for transforming ourselves and the spaces in which we teach.

We are blessed to have Michelle King with us for this Professional Development opportunity! Learner, teacher and instigator, looking deep for what’s coming next, Michelle King is a learner first and foremost. A teacher. An instigator. She learned and honed her craft in Mt. Lebanon with a fantastic crew of educators and students for over 15 years. Currently, she teaches at The Environmental Charter School where she seeks to create opportunities for students to learn, discover, be challenged and express their thoughts, dreams, and desires.

Constantly in pursuit of making connections locally and globally, Michelle pushes the envelope and boundaries of where learning should occur for all students. Through her partnerships with the Western Pennsylvania Writing Project, Hear Me and the Remake Learning Network, Michelle is helping to create equitable and empathetic learning opportunities for students throughout the Pittsburgh area.

This event qualifies for Act 48 Credits.
