Startable Pittsburgh, a free eight-week summer program for students age 16-18, is now accepting applications. Now going into our fourth year, Startable Pittsburgh teaches participants entrepreneurship and maker skills to help them launch their own businesses.
Students develop, design, prototype, build, brand, market and sell products of their own creation by partnering with local retailers. Students earn a program stipend and keep all profits from the sale of their products. They also earn a free yearlong membership to TechShop upon successfully completing the program.
Up to 36 students will be selected to participate. The 2017 program takes place from June 26-August 18.
